VERY hot, I love both of them

This book is definitely unique and really good at times. Wish the MMC hadn't been so much of a stalker creep.

Pages and pages of "it really sucks how men try to control women," yet a FMC drooling over a guy who hasn't done much other than use his money and power to try to control her. Body betrayal vibes.

It makes me want to cry that someone as cool as Aurora is being paired with someone who doesn't respect her AT ALL. I wish she would stab him and leave him for dead in the alley.

Wow I despised this book, I've never almost DNF'd at 95% before.

Why do so many authors wait til 80% thru the book to suddenly realize they forgot to give any depth to the MMC, then make a mad scramble to try to make them relatable. I guess it's better than nothing.

MMC has kind of a delusional rapist's mentality - ie "she is saying no, but she doesn't know what she needs! I do!" The FMC talking about how kind and sweet he is after he SA'd her is certainly a choice. The references to Africa are a bit...yikes.

I hate them both so much. I hope they jump off a cliff together. The MMC because he's a Mary Sue prick and interchangeable with about 5000 other MMCs. The FMC because she is such a shit friend while being whiny and hypocritical about it. Harry and Millicent need to leave her toxic ass in the dust.

I really want to give this book 1*, but I told myself I wouldn't when the author finally abandoned having the MMC constantly one-up the FMC for absolutely no reason. I just can't believe how much this book insists that the MMC respects her when he treats her like someone he actively hates.
