He wanted to scream at Rick, slapping and hitting him until he hurt as much as Kai did.
He wanted to rage.
Then he wanted his damn mate to put his big, strong arms around him and hold him until he didn’t feel like he was falling apart anymore. Until it didn’t feel like he was shattering into a million pieces. Until his insides stopped shaking with terror.

Idk it was fine but the pacing feels fast. Not complaining, that's just the kind of story it is. But my biggest thing is how weird it is when people agree they're mates and everyone just... knows? Like, they never tell anyone but people know and refer to them as mates even before the bond is sealed (and their scents change). It just feels bizarre to me.

Idk the threat of his father doesn't really feel real. They're basing everything off a premonition, it just feels a bit sketch. Also I don't like them very much but Bennett was kinda a cutie at the beginning.

“You have a texture,” he went on, murmuring into my collarbone and punctuating himself with another kiss. “It isn’t quite like skin on the outside. I want to feel it with whatever I can fit in you.”

I'm bored, I'm glad the plot is so fleshed out but there hasn't really been a lot of romantic / sexual tension set up yet

I'm too used to alternate POV, I just really wish I could see inside Andreas' head... it feels a bit hollow without it
