It’s so tragic reading these early chapters while knowing where it leads

Tyrion’s introduction is so funny I love how GRRM sometimes just vastly overestimates how easy it is to do some things

There is ZERO heterosexual explanation for Ned describing Young Robert as “muscled like a maiden’s fantasy” in his head!

Prologue:

Reading the descriptions of The Others is soooo much more powerful than hearing some old dude read them out loud

Issue 5:

The generic “crime family mob boss” villain immediately giving up the second he realises that Zack is WAY beyond his pay-grade is a really funny bit and is realistically what would probably happen if this scenario happened irl.

Hopefully the rest of this volume keeps up this momentum.

Issue 4:

The Kresh are sooooo boring as villains 😭

I just do not give a single gaf about them, they’re literally a faceless holder of bad guys for Zach to shoot.. hopefully the villains get better as time goes on.

Issues 1, 2 and 3.

I’m almost done with the first arc/volume and so far I’m not really digging this as much as I thought it would. The action art is pretty fun and kinetic (that one jump in issue 2 in particular is really good) but the art when characters are just standing around talking.. leaves a lot to be desired.

And there is SO MUCH standing and talking

I have no idea why or when I marked this as read? I’ve never read this. I blame the ghosts in my phone.

Part One.

I’m still kinda processing what I just read so I don’t have much to say yet other than “I am enthralled”
