Unfortunately, I just don't feel like reading this.

Too goody two shoe's kind of squeaky clean. Little preachy about how to raise a kid as a single mother. Think they've already said a dozen times she needs to stay at her job for a year to provide stability for her daughter.

While I'm thoroughly enjoying the book, I do have a problem with it. The author heads some chapters as "xx months ago". So it's confusing if I'm in the present or the past based on those headings. They aren't needed as the story is entirely linear.

Getting tired of the teaser... "I'll get to that later in the book." He's used it a half dozen times and I'm on downside with the back half the book.

Occasionally it says (see photo insert), but the entire cookbook has no photos. Frustrating

This cookbook is hard to read. It's small print that isn't very dark. No color photos. Paper quality is low, like a paperback novel.

Points off for suggesting home cooks try using liquid nitrogen.

Had to get 40% into the book to find her actually trying to romance the rogue. Before then, they were competitive.

I am just NOT liking this. Prologue is some guy sleeping with our MC and upset with himself about it and not happy when he sees a text from her ex Dylan. Cut to first chapter, six months earlier, and her bf breaks up with her just before a job interview she has with Dylan. So now I have to read the book watching her fall for a guy I know will be her ex, and she ends up with another guy in a bad situation.

This author's romances are almost all slow burn with enemies to lovers forced to work together. It's getting too predictable. :(

It really bothers me that her ex boyfriend, whom isn't referred to nicely, ie Icky Ollie, is the main hero character in another of the authors books.

Hate that they've become instalove, explore relationship, encounter hardship, then find each other again. Love this author but having a hard time with the instalove.

Book starts out totally wrong. Couple hit it off, ask each other out, the. One bails. Now I have to read the whole book just to get back where they started. If I didn't like this author, I'd stop reading right now.

Now it's following the plot of an old Shirley Temple movie, The Little Princess.

I feel like I'm reading a retelling of Mathilda by Ronald Doyle.

I'm loving the story but hating all the God crap. Yes, I realize it's a Harlequin Inspirational story but does God really have to be mentioned every 2 or 3 pages? He isn't essential to the plot.

I'm now translating as I read... ken = know, etc. Will probably have dreams in a bad Scottish accent tonight. lol

"Inghinn, said suddenly as she tied off the stitches and cut the thread with her sgian dubh." (Has to be a knife of some kind, but the unusual name just complicates the reading.
"Do no' fash yerself o'er it." (fash in this instance means fret)

ken = know? "Who is she?" "I do no' ken"
Reading this is giving me a headache to sort out the Scottish accent. And I'm on page 51. Only another 306 to go. :(

"What do ye mean ye do no' ken?" It's bad enough a non-Scottish author is attempting to write a spoken Scottish accent. It's super annoying the main character thinks like this. At times it's hard to understand., so the author had either done it poorly or has overdone it.

This book is already pissing me off. Nowhere in the description od this book did it say it was feminist. If I was male I'd have stopped reading after the first page. Self care doesn't have to be feminist. I'm skimming pages now. This is disappointing.

Not quite what I expected. She's Chinese and Jewish, growing up in Chicago, then 20s in NYC, married a ND/MN farmer. So far it seems every recipe is Jewish. Recipes call for sumac, za'atar, tahini*, zhoug*, marizipan, labneh*, hawaij*, etc. She'll give you recipes for * half of that stuff. But I'd have to modify any recipe to leave all that out. I don't like spicy food. Reading for stories not recipes, or so it seems

Not a fictional novel as I expected. It's an autobjography from an alcoholic foodie after she had a nervous background.

Very nice book with beautiful photos.

This book is very informative but it's dry reading as it's not written in a narrative format (like a novel).

Chapter 9. The only reason I'm still reading this is I'm too lazy to look for something else to read right now. I hate the main character Holly. She isn't likable at all. Her team is a bunch of lazy idiots. Her father is possibly the only character that's likable and he gets points off for remarrying on his daughter's cancelled wedding venue on the day she was to marry. I'm really hoping the new Nathan is nice.

I'm not even to the end of chapter one and I hate this book. I don't give a d@mn about our main character Holly. Not even sure I have her name right. Trying to stick around til the plot hook is dropped but I seriously dislike whatshername. Novody in chapter one is likeable. If you don't like the main character, why read the book. I'm seriously doubting this is worth my time.

It's definitely set in London. The girl is quirky and odd. The guy is quite frankly a scardy cat. He runs to avoid conflict and dislikes talking to people. Odd couple for sure.

I've had to figure out that the story takes place in England, because the author hasn't outright said.

What? The table of contents, how many chapters their are and what, if any title they have, is at the END of my ebook. And I paid $14 for this? If it stays this bad, I'm returning it for a refund.
