Is it me and my copy or does the author repeat entire passages regularly.

It does not read well with this. Wondering if it’s a typo or intentional.

Not loving that.

So while there are some interesting studies and facts in this book I am finding the author woefully - and perhaps purposefully - ignorant on several things. First off, their notion that laying taxes and utilizing allowable credits is rich welfare…it’s not, it’s allowing people to keep more of their own money. Second, they feint on not understanding costs and drivers as reasons for increases in things like rent

Started off strong but it’s definitely heading downward. The instant relationship between her, Daerick and Kian seems to be written quite immaturely. I’m hoping it gets better.

So I’m the midst of an all out war we now have a boxing match if the twins…. Totally fucking random. And how is this needed?

The fact that the author just inserts himself as the narrator….. o.O

So this character Veebee was supposedly removed and then shows up and their mom has kept her after being told to get rid of her and everyone knows who she is and acts like she’s been around forever. Consistency matters on a book.

And the narrator who is actually a character who DOES things and doesn’t just narrate? How does they work and where is a good editor when you need one?

Also. Trad, the character is often extremely clueless about his own world even Antagonistic when he knows what is going to happen which seems unreasonable for some who’s “regenerated” multiple time and lived multiple lifetimes.
The book seems disjointed also which is hard.

So. This book has a great premise and great world building but I’m struggling a bit with the two main characters. Twins. Who can talk to each other in their minds. Supposedly know everything about each other but no idea what the other is doing.

God... it’s not getting any better. “Not my drama....”

Example: battle scene that’s 2-3 pages long of descriptors. Then... “we were scared”. Never once did the writing convey scared. We’re just told it in the end. So much is wrong it’s taking away from the story. Very disappointed this far. I hope it gets better.

So, I’m not sure what’s new or what’s going on here but the writing in this book is just crap so far. New editor? New ghostwriter? I’m not sure but the complex sentencing that doesn’t flow the tell tell tell rather than show is all just killing it for me. When I have to read a sentence two, three times to figure out what the heck she’s trying to convey I’m just not thrilled.

Soooo, just found the hostage and I’m quite amazed at his knowledge of the world considering he was in a cage with no technology for his entire life..... a bit sloppy on that JR

I'm not loving this back and forth between Daniel and Aldrick, it's a ridiculous story line where she loves Aldrick more than anything but then also is drawn to Daniel and it's just not done well....

Eh, I'm not loving the back and forth and the prose for the sake of prose. It doesn't flow very well and I find myself skimming the reading because the technique is a little annoying.

Well, as per par for the course I'm annoyed with V and his vehement hate for the Scribe Virgin.

Is there anything worse than a book, at 12%, who still has not given background on they time it changes in the world. Weak world building or better yet just assuming you n i.e. What works were in is pretty crappy... I'm not thrilled reading what I don't understand. I've already thought at least three times maybe I should just not read this right now...

I'm not so sure about this I find the writing over wordy and a little ... Drawn out and not in an exciting way. Im wondering if I'm going to be able to make it through to the end. Also. Not a fan of the back and forth in time method.

Okay, seriously? I really don't understand what JR Ward has against women. If you're not a lead female character in this book your trash, treated like a piece of meat and thrown out. She's so derogatory toward women in this book it's a bit unsettling. Hint... If a guy acts like a douche to women in general, you may think you're different bit you're not. Have some respect. This is borderline over the line for me.

The opening passage is so pretentious and over written... come on, I expect more.

Argh. Tony Stark and the Avengers references? Isn't this supposed to be the past?! :(

It's odd. I'm finding a lot of grammatical errors and wrong word errors. Lots of sentences that just don't make sense. Poor editing?

Is it me or hasn't the one twin is a virgin and one isn't and the virgin twin is all a lot staying pure because the other one is so messed up... Z and Phury anyone?? Okay... Thought it was just me...

So. Here's a question. If the Glymeria are all stuck up and proper. The way they act, breed, speak etc. why do we have this new generation (Peyton and Paradise) who are all gutter and slang? When does one go from gutter and slang to proper and mannered? Makes you think the entire Glymeria thing is just a front.

I've noticed a distinct change in the Wardens writing style in this book, lost of sentences within sentences between commas or dashes. Almost abusively. Editing perhaps?

I miss Rhage so much. I'm so happy this book is very Rhage focused and the Warden has announced the next book is Rhage again. So happy.
