This book is giving me a lot of Inuyasha feels, but with Sesshomaru as the love interest? I might have picked up on the similarities because I'm currently binging Inuyasha, but I might have noticed it without currently watching Inuyasha. I don't know how I feel about this...

I love this author, but I feel there should be consistency in mythos when writing in a shared world series. While the idea of the Mongrel wolves is interesting, it conflicts with the other "wolves" in Valleywood. It would be doable if they were considered a different species from other wolf shifters, but this book creates an entire sub-society that doesn't fit in with the rest of Valleywood. (Just my thoughts.)

I don't know if I downloaded a bad version from Amazon or what, but in chapter 4 every paragraph was broken up with the large capital letter like a scene separation. It made the flow of narrative very choppy and difficult to read.

The editing is just as bad, if not worse, in this book compared to the last one. The worst is the timing.
In the beginning, at the bonding ceremony, it is Friday. The story resumes after the runon Monday. So why does Chasen keep referring to ceremony night as "yesterday" more than he does "Friday". Even if he just stuck with one it would be fine, but 80% of the time it's "yesterday" and the other 20% is "Friday".

One of my biggest gripes in this series is that the authors seem to rush through these stories so quickly that they forget the names of the minor characters halfway through and change them to something else. In this case, it was Edwin's first omega. In the beginning, his name was Greg, but then it changed to Jeremiah. The books are short to begin with so one name kind of stands out.

So, it looks like it really was just a coincidence that the Qbert resembled Nero in the beginning. Qbert's condition is way more serious and seemingly more effected by his personal history.

I'm a little disconcerted because the Soul in this story sounds a lot like Nero from Lynn Hagen's "Nutter Nero" (Brac Pack 12). Sure, other people can write about germ phobia and OCD, but both Qbert and Nero seem to have an accent and sound alike. (Nero was asian) Hopefully I'm overreacting and this was just a coincidence.

This one is more annoying than the last one with the bad grammar and crappy editing. At least the previous story I read by this author was bearable, but this time the errors distract me from the story that isn't that great to begin with. It's a struggle to finish it.

I've really been flying through this series on the edge of my seat, but at this point I'm feeling as frustrated as the characters. I think I need a break from the never-ending drama before I sink into a deep depression.

I can't figure out if the main character is a girl or a boy. The very first reference is a "little girl" followed by "gay" and "straight son". In later nostalgic moments there "little girls' toes" and repeated notations of "daughter" I know the main character is supposed to be a boy, but the repeated gender errors are very distracting, not to mention aggravating.

A lot of pronoun typos. It's bad enough when you use "him" instead of "his", but it's even worse when you have feminine pronouns thrown in! The worst is feminine pronouns popping up in the three-male-sex-scene! I'm so distracted by this poor editing that I lose the mood of the scene! Grrr...!
