I'm in a real book slump. I can't remember the last time I DNF'd 3 books in a row. I need some real alpha energy that isn't a mafia or MC book. Or I need a great shifter book with a growly, dirty talking MC that isn't omegaverse. Or maybe I need something totally different. I don't know.

I'm about half way through and I feel like I have to put the book down every other page because I have so much anxiety over the problem for Mark and Carter... This is intense.

24% word choice are bizarre:

First the author used the word solace incorrectly and now a made up word "boistering" that even if I decide she meant "boisterous or bolstering" still is the wrong word for the sentence. But how does a word that isn't even a word make it through edits?

"Thane scrubbed a hand down his face. This was like some weird Lifetime TV movie. What the hell just happened?"

Thank you Thane....that's exactly what I'm thinking..and you know, if your character is thinking this....so is your reader. WTH with the instant 20 minute family therapy discussion that solves all of Thane's abandonment and emotional issues? No. Just no.

How many dark curtains that you can hide behind and have enough room to have sex behind are there in the "absolutely no sex in the sex club", sex club?

59% This sucks. I'm having so much trouble with getting through this book.

If Thane thinks, says or otherwise ruminates one more time about Levi's mother I'm going to scream. No Linda is not his mother. His mother died. Remember? He told you that when you first met and you said you wished your dad was dead.

Also, this is obsession, not love, not even lust. Run, Levi, run.

I am having so much trouble connecting with Elliott. His romantic obsession with the serial killer is just something I can't get past.

I hate to say this but I think I might have to DNF this if the creepy romanticizing of the killer doesn't get dumped soon.

Not sure I'm going to get much farther.

Gah! I loved Gaven! I can't wait to read this one!

This book has brought me to the verge of sobbing on several occassions. Poor Dan. Poor Chris. The situation is just heartbreaking and well written enough for me to feel like mine is breaking for them at the same time.

this is a tear jerker...talk about having to make and abide by heartbreaking decisions. I didn't see this coming from the blurb.

I would really, really, really love spell check in the goodreads comments boxes. :)
