It was marked as unread on my kindle yet goodreads claims I read this in 2020 but I didn't write a review and I don't remember it at all. Might as well!

I jumped from several books with fast pace and high stakes back to finish this series and now I'm struggling to get into this, especially because I don't feel very compelled by Quint. Haven't even managed to meet Ashley yet

Things are going in such a way that if I weren't so early into the book and knowing they'll be at odds later based on what we glimpse in the other novels, I'd call it close to an HEA. This duo will hurt for sure

Let it be stated I'm walking into this book out of stubbornness and not interest. I doubt this book will be better than book 1

There's so many inconsistencies between the diagnoses the disabled kids supposedly have and their actual behaviors and needs it makes me wonder how much, if any, research the author did on developmental disability and neurodiversity

This book has a disabled child and I hate how the characters (and author) treat her. It's making it very hard to go through the book. She's sainted perfection, an inspiration, a genius, utterly precious... She's more an idol than a character and it makes me cringe every time she shows up or is mentioned. And given that she's sister to Hank and student of Reed she shows up or is mentioned almost in every page

I hadn't read a Garret Leigh book since like 2019. Right now, I remember why

I remember reading it years ago. I didn't get to the second once I found out it was a trilogy and we were missing the third, as it was still unfinished. Well, we finally have the third and last book coming, so that merits a reread!

Rereading as an audiobook. It definitely hasn't felt like a chore so far (as I can sometimes feel with rereads). It definitely feels strange to have sexy thoughts going through my headphones while doing chores though!

After a mediocre book, I'm down for some magi accounts. So far they have always been great, and I sorely need some greatness

I was right, it left me in a tense moment the last book and started retelling elsewhere. Agh! How long until the answers come?!

It seems to be a warlocks of Amherst spin off, even though it doesn't say that anywhere. I'll go read that series and then come back here later
