what the hell was that night? he just went crazy on the yacht !

The hell did I just read!?

Not every mom is a Pamela Voorhees, going after all camp counselors because one or two of them let her baby drown

Jade has crossed into something else because real dead people are now entering the fantasy and she’s treating them like proof-of-concept.

“ You don’t remake The Exorcist, you don’t sequel Rosemary‘s Baby, and you don’t be disrespectful about soil an actual slasher has walked across.”

I feel like every immigrant child with a toxic parent has lived what Franz is talking about.

“Your self-confidence indeed was so great that you had no need to be consistent at all and yet never ceased to be in the right.” Mira puñetaaaaaaa, you gotta live through it to understand this!

The trauma is generational

This is about to be a life lesson

Cameras began duplicating the world at that moment when the human landscape started to undergo a vertiginous rate of change: while an untold number of forms of biological and social life are being destroyed in a brief span of time, a device is available to record what is disappearing.

“…but then again, to quote Casca, Cassius, Cinna, Trebonius, Cimber, Ligarius, and Brutus after the fatal stabbing of Julius Caesar, 'Accidents will happen.'”

So now the book has definitely hit a dragging point.

TIL: nutmeg can be poisonous in large quantities

“ never poison your target, Iverson. Your target should poison himself. Got that?”

I could probably write an entire thesis on this quote alone

Nah… Cliff’s right. Fiedler needs to go!

When a man dies from a bullet entering his chest, it's a homicide.
When a man dies from a meteorite landing on his head, it's a tragedy.
Don't use bullets. Use meteorites.
Don't commit a homicide. Commit a tragedy.
-Guy McMaster

So he’s at the school confused obviously and now the dean is about to see him

“The smile that said I have a dick so I win” this would’ve been an amazing line if the book was actually good

Chapter 25, 26, 27 and 28 could have been one full chapter. These chapters are coming across as very rushed and a pattern of the throwback to introduce the next board member it’s getting repetitive.
