Rereading whole series before reading final book...

Going in for a reread..

Reread time!

Erm...that didn't age well, did it?

Being ok with Dante being wasted drunk, but getting pissed at the thought he might have smoked weed seems a bit much, Griff. Dante is an adult and cannabis is legal in California (and was when this book came out). Griff needs to untwist his knickers. Honestly, I don't much care for Griff so far.

Not even through day 1 of boot camp and I'm already mortified and horrified by the treatment of the recruits. I've never been a fan of dehumanization...I suspect I would not have done very well in the military.

First reread of 2026! I love this series, so much.

I see I never reviewed this one when I read it in 2020, so I don't remember at all what I am in for. We'll see if I manage a review this time.

Rereading. I remember this one starting out as kind of a mind-fuck. Let the journey begin!

Feel like a reread.

*sigh* ... I still miss Matthias. :(

I'm having a really hard time connecting with this one. It's taken me 3 days to get to 28%. Not sure if I've just read to many Alice Winters books lately or if it's just my brain being a jerk. I generally like this author and friends have enjoyed this book. Hrm

I really hope I warm up to Dáithí ... He's stepping on a few of my pet peeves. 1 - he keeps telling Eoin who he (Eoin) is and isn't and how he (Eoin) feels. That seriously does not sit well with me. 2 - He won't get out if his own way. He is not all that likable so far.

I love this universe, but right now I want to smack Dáithí with his own book.

Does anyone else have random books you read YEARS ago suddenly being 'shelved' and showing up in the feed? I've noticed a few lately and it's weird. Looks to be a Goodreads glitch (shocking, right?).

Goodreads is doing that hing again where it keeps marking my book as read when I close my Kindle. Very annoying. Time to go into airplane mode, I guess.

Book 3 of this series comes out the day before I fly to the UK (guess what I'll be reading on that long flight?) so I'm re-immersing myself in this universe. I'm loving it all over again.

Feeling like a reread.

Yep, I am STILL not impressed with Layla. I'm beginning to wonder if she isn't the one responsible and just doesn't want to fess up that she fucked up so she's trying to shift blame elsewhere. I guess we'll see! Either way, she is still not striking me as even an aqauate people manager.

I can't find anything new I want to rewad so I decided to reread this series. It's one of my favorites. Love it so much!

After reading Disarmed by Desire and tearing up in nearly every scene Matthias was in (which was a lot since most of the book is flashback) I got a bit nostalgic for this series featuring his adoptive fathers and where we get to see him and Britte grow up before they all are exiled and go to Cymru.

Dear Dima -- you are an asshole. Hoe could you hurt your sister like that? Jerk.

I sure hope these boys get out of their own way soon and have an actual conversation. JFC, so far each of them has done nothing but assume the other isn't intersted instead of making their feelings known to the other. And Alexis -- you are the better communicator and yet even knowing that Ridge has trouble expressing himself, you're getting pissy that he hasn't talked to you? Get over yourself.

And...Kindle is doing this thing again where when I close the Kindle it marks the book read. I really wish they would fucking fix that. Time to put my Kindle on airplane mode until I'm done.
