Yep. 8 1/2 really (looking at my original read dates). STILL!!!

Same here, re-read and nine years!! I finished it last night. Nine years = brand new book, haha!

Right? As I'm reading, there are familiar places and scenes and I did remember basically what happens in the book, but I haven't remembered many specifics at all. It's as close to reading-for-the-very-first-time feeling as I've managed with a reread.

That's exactly how I felt. I remembered the places the most but most of what happened, nada! No complaints though, I liked that it was fresh.

Just finished. On to book 2, now! I do have some other stuff I need to get done today. We'll see how well that works out lol.

I'm starting soon-ish too. I haven't had a second to read all day and I feel like having some drinks tonight so same, we'll see how it works out.

I never read the 2nd book so I'm even more excited!

I read an ARC of book 2 when it came out in 2016. I'm presently 38% through my reread. So, guess how much my other list I've gotten done today? Not much. I did do my workout and I've wiped off one of the kitchen counters...yep, that's it.

I also want to work on my sewing project some. I'm making smallish tote bag/largish handbag. I've cut all the fabrics and interfacings, but have not really gotten started yet. Too bad I can't read and sew at the same time. I can't do audiobooks, unfortunately. That would be handy.

Oh, I feel your pain with that too. It's very hard to find the balance. I have a ton of projects I need to work on but find myself reading more and crafting less. Plus I got a new laptop for Christmas and need to work on moving from the old to the new and that keeps getting put on the backburner too. I too can't do audio unless I know the story. Then I can have it on as background but something new? Pages would go by and I'd be like huh? I'd suggest hitting the half way mark and then doing something else but I know already how that goes!

I do need to make myself get up every hour or so just to move around a bit. Maybe I'll clean the kitchen in little pieces today lol
