For such an interesting subject, the first couple of chapters of this book were surprisingly dry and...well, boring. It's starting to pick up now, though.

I can't put this one down!!!

I first read this book when I was 12. I picked it up again today to re-read one of the stories in it, about the Spanish Influenza pandemic of 1918, which was just as creepy as I remember. Given that the first time I read it I wasn't really educated enough to appreciate the historical themes of the anthology, I think I'm going to read through the entire thing again.

Very interesting, but....kind of dry and slow.

Amazing so far! Jon Ronson is so engaging and easy to read.

I read this so fast last time that I kind of skimmed through it, so I’m going to read it again and try to absorb it properly.

Not sure if I'll be able to finish this - the giant worms don't freak me out, but the six or seven scenes of mostly unnecessary animal abuse I have sat through so far have really turned me off. That shit isn't scary, it's just sad. :(

I am going to try and persevere and just skip the Shelley parts, but this book is shaping up to be a DNW. Such a shame, because the story is otherwise really good.

Reading something fun, as opposed to long non-fiction books! So far so good, the first pages are set up like an ikea catalogue, complete with mailing form, haha.
