Also, I’m listening to it instead of reading it. The female isn’t bad but she reads it in a way that makes me hate the female character more. She doesn’t make her more likable. She reads it in a little bit of a quivering voice. And the male is generally good, but the moans/sexy noises are not sexy! They are laughable.

let me just rage for a minute. This woman is such an unsympathetic character, I almost can’t stand her or empathize with her situation. Her boyfriend is so far not the bad guy & she does all that to him? I don’t find it erotic, it’s despicable. Maybe detail will be given & he’s a bad guy but she doesn’t know that right now & that does not give her a pass to act like a spineless teenage girl!

So much yes so far! Now we’re getting started on a real good story. Hopefully it continues to be that way!

So far not a fan of “oh my Tchaikovsky”

Listening on Audible. It’s cute so far and the narration is pretty good. Not sure why it’s not rated higher on GR, so that makes me wonder how the story is going to go.

I wrote a whole little progress review. Don’t know where it went. In summary, it’s getting better. The writing is very flowery and sometimes distracts me. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the chemistry, but then it’s getting there. Female was/is slightly annoying, we’ll see if she matures.

Shake my head at h. I empathize a little bit, but come on! Don't push him away. That's a little frustrating.

I can't wait for this book to be done. So much unnecessary drama and internal dialogue struggles of being "Easy GiGi" (listening to book so I don't know how she spells it). I feel for the girl, but when she had a perfect opening to tell him and didn't... I'm over it. Been over it. So childish, I didn't like the first book either but I thought I'd find this more interesting with the stepsibling dynamic. Nope!

Chapter 10

Arggh. I don't know what to make of this book yet. I'm getting tired of waiting for what the big deal is about Cal. I have an idea, but I don't know for sure. Anyway, it's getting frustrating.

Still not feeling a connection with these characters. Just trying to finish the book at this point.

Not really invested with characters so far. For some reason, I'm just not digging them as a "fake" couple and their reasons for doing it.

1) The amount of disdain for FBI and criminal profiling is dripping off every page. This takes the form of two doofus FBI agents. If it wasn't so heavy handed, I might've laughed a little. It also doesn't help that I love criminology and am fascinated with the work of the initial FBI Behavioral unit.
2) The audiobook narration is too theatrical for me, but I was able to get used to it. I hate the female narrator.

About an hour left in the book and I just want to echo what other people have said about the immaturity of the MCs. The h is one of the MOST aggravating characters I've read about in a while. This story just drags on and on because of the characters not communicating. The H isn't better; a very unhealthy relationship.

The narrator is okay. Story decent so far, though.

My faith in books is restored. I am LOVING this book.

Holy hell, it's finally getting good! Glad I continued reading.

Story is slightly picking up. Still don't like the female narrator and the male character hasn't come around to being likeable. I see some hope for him but we'll see. Biggest annoyance: repetitious thoughts during female POV.

Not sure if I will like it yet. If the guy doesn’t become likable but 30%, I will probably not finish it. As well, I’m listening to it and the female narrator is a little obnoxious so that may also add to my not liking it so much so far.

So far, really enjoying this book. Drags a little bit in areas but nothing terrible.
