For white children with emotional/behavioral disturbances, the problem is identified as congenital or developmental at the personal/family level, not a problem of white culture. Compare that to how Black children with EBDs are discussed.

You know that thing where you read a book and wonder if it had an editor? About once a chapter the author uses a word that is clearly the wrong one--obsession instead of vendetta, that kind of thing. And it would be such an easy fix... so why wasn't it?

I am so ready to be done with this book

I picked this up because I'm on a Weird books in translation kick, and this definitely fits the bill

This is such a fun book and I look forward to feeling well enough to enjoy it
