I have decided not to finish the book for now. It reminds me of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman but what worked really well in that book - the autistic voice of the main character - didn't work for me at all in this book.

DNF and I'm not sure if I'll return to this book.

Paused reading this book until I get my eyes checked and new glasses prescribed.

I'm going to put this aside for a while. I may come back to finish it, because it's a gorgeous and very well written book. The story makes me all kinds of uncomfortable though, so I'm giving myself a break.

I'm loving this story. It's so full of feels and at the same time deliciously cute. The setting is wonderful and the world has pulled me in. As I said, loving it so far.

Since I'll be meeting him in Amsterdam, I figured I should read at least one book by Devon McCormack before getting there.

Three more chapters to go in this book and I'm so blown away by it. This story could have been written according to my personal specifications.

OM, what have I been missing. It's just as well we're living in the middle of nowhere because I think I laughed out loud for the whole duration of the walk with my dog #certifiable

I have absolutely no idea what I'm reading or what any of it is supposed to mean, if anything. I wonder if it will end up making sense by the time I finish the book.

At 20% I've already laughed out loud several times. I'm enjoying this one!

At 85% I admit defeat. I'm going to bed. I wanna finish the book right now but I'll know I'll end up reading too fast and missing words so I'm going to leave it until tomorrow. That's not a bad thing; I hate it when I finish a good read.

I'm at 62% and I have to go to work. Nooooo! This book is GOOD.

And now for something completely different.

At 51% I have to say 'hot' doesn't begin to describe this story. Phew. It ought to come with a health warning.

I love it when a book makes me think and question things, especially subjects I hadn't really thought about before. I'm going to take my time with this one. I can't help feeling there's a lot more in this book than 'just' the (rather fabulous) story.

I'm so looking forward to this book, if only because the cover although the blurb is almost as enticing.

This story continuously takes me by surprise. I've no idea what to make of it as yet but I'm totally fascinated.
