Yes, let's go with another McFadden. Since the cover reminds me of Bad Teacher (yes, the one with Cameron Diaz) I'm expecting unhinged behaviour, zero logic, and one of those McFadden-esque twists that makes me question my life choices (or literature choices)

Having difficulties committing to this and it might be the writing style. Thought, for a while, that the constant noise, over-analysis and jumping from an idea/activity to another in my head meant I was honorary ADHD but this narrative point of view is making me realize that maybe it's just the human condition-turns out my brain is less of an exception and more of a membership card to the club we're all secretly in.

"Building yourself up doesnt mean you have to tear another person down."
This feels like a collection of essays - variation on the same theme, some being better than others. I am highly entertained so far, just had my first visual contact with Klee's and Kandinsky's works through this.

Almost halfway through and I find myself wondering if Louis was always this butterfly-like in presence, constantly drifting, wings brushing against the edges of morality without ever quite taking flight - his pseudo moral compass is so prominently woven into the narrative that, at times, it feels both admirable and exasperating.

I picked up Interview with the Vampire again not out of curiosity, but out of quiet desperation, for I’ve found myself estranged from the things that once defined me, stories that used to light something inside me now feel distant, even exhausting.
Just as the first dim flicker of light touched Louis’ face in that small San Francisco room, something shifted. I found myself pulled into the narrative.

Focus drifted. Words blurred.

However, just as the first dim flicker of light touched Louis’ face in that small San Francisco room, something shifted. Got pulled into

It dances in the realm of forever, untouched by the hands of time.

This is, basically, never-ending. Or so it feels.

I just love the evocative prose that immerses readers in the psychological depth of the characters and the emotional weight of their experiences. I tend to read this slower because I'm too afraid of finishing it and being left without Theo's development.

I've been trying to convince myself that Tartt's writing style is meticulous and rich, devastatingly immersive and I'm just missing something by not enjoying this book , but at the end of the day I find myself not really caring about the characters, or the plot development.
