The third chapter is the best by far. It feels like it's the most thought-out and the clearest.

Mbembe just wrote a seventeen-line sentence of the most technical philosophical language. I've spent the last 5 minutes just staring at it hopelessly 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Mbembe would benefit from slowing down and explaining some concepts and phrases at length. There's a handful of phrases and concept that he throws out there and then moves past too quickly. It makes reading rather difficult.

Mbembe claims democracy desires extermination, and the modern democracy doesn't just crave it, but could not exist without it.
