Better than I’d anticipated so far. The writing isn’t as tedious and repetitive at that in the first book, Blood Dreams. Also the FMC Tessa isn’t the repressed, insecure, indecisive type like Dani in Book 1, which is a definite plus for me. I already like the MMC, Sawyer - love his sarcastic inner monologue! Good supporting characters.

Eeh. I like it so far, but I’m not enthralled. Key plot elements are not well-defined enough to say there is sufficient world-building - at least not as yet. No information given about the government agency and what it would want of people with talent or why they would protect them. Insufficient character background on supporting characters to tell if you like them or not.

I had forgotten how much I dislike Isadora. She is exceptionally rude and OTT ridiculous with her judgmental attitude. She’s so annoying, I’m having to force myself to keep reading.

DNF at 25%. Only a quarter of the way through and I already know who did it. The writing is good though…

Ugh. I hate the MC, no redeeming qualities that I can see. Nothing seems to be happening even 40-50% of the way through. I don’t like any of the characters actually, so I’m done…

OK, so far Smitty is a childish, spoiled dick. Not at all impressed with him. The writing is jumping back and forth in a disjointed way and there are too many minor characters to keep up with. :/

Put on hold at the point the h is turning down the TSTL path. It's a shame, as the author has mainly avoided that dumpster fire to this point.

I really liked Ford, but Chrissy, not so much. She was OTT obsessive and seemed to think her only worth was as a baby maker and Mom.
Re: the writing ~ the repetition was really annoying - as if we couldn't remember from one chapter to the next what both characters' hang ups were. Repeating them in multiple chapters was majorly annoying. The author needed an editor that wasn't afraid to redline...

I really like trunks voice, but about two pages into Summers chapter and I give up. She is truly the most clueless thing I've ever seen.

OMG. I am LOVING this book!

DNF at 34%. Too YA for my tastes.
