Much better. Still some awkward phrasing, but better.

This one had a very different angle, but it did provide a good story. There is a tiny bit of character development for Brooke, so I am willing to keep reading to try to give her more of an opportunity. I didn’t notice as many word errors in this one, so that’s an improvement, as well.

Progressing well. Trying not to let the incorrect word usage keep me from enjoying the story.

Another good storyline.
The continued use of incorrect words is terribly distracting! “Ousted” when contextually it should have been “outed”, and “…displaying emotions that he most certainly didn’t inhabit.” People do not “inhabit” emotions. They can exhibit emotions or experience emotions, but they don’t inhabit them. I can’t understand why an editor wouldn’t have corrected these errors.

DNF. Same issues as book 1, but didn’t finish as I needed a break from ominous disaster reading.

Second start on this one today. The flashbacks are difficult for me to read, though I’m skimming to get the basics. Other reviews are on target - the dos are a great part of the story.

Eh, typical Eden Avon book. Insta love. Good story.

DNF at 13%. Not for me.

Better than I’d anticipated so far. The writing isn’t as tedious and repetitive at that in the first book, Blood Dreams. Also the FMC Tessa isn’t the repressed, insecure, indecisive type like Dani in Book 1, which is a definite plus for me. I already like the MMC, Sawyer - love his sarcastic inner monologue! Good supporting characters.

Eeh. I like it so far, but I’m not enthralled. Key plot elements are not well-defined enough to say there is sufficient world-building - at least not as yet. No information given about the government agency and what it would want of people with talent or why they would protect them. Insufficient character background on supporting characters to tell if you like them or not.

I had forgotten how much I dislike Isadora. She is exceptionally rude and OTT ridiculous with her judgmental attitude. She’s so annoying, I’m having to force myself to keep reading.

DNF at 25%. Only a quarter of the way through and I already know who did it. The writing is good though…

Ugh. I hate the MC, no redeeming qualities that I can see. Nothing seems to be happening even 40-50% of the way through. I don’t like any of the characters actually, so I’m done…
