I’m enjoying this fine but I’m struggling to believe this is the same author that brought us Whit and Sem? The writing style, characterisation and sophistication in those books are simply not showing up at the moment? Curious

‘I wonder what Simon’s ass smells like?’ Ermmmmm what? We are only in Chapter 2 but I don’t even think that’s something that should be thought of in later chapters either? I’m so confused

Cheating is not something I like to read about and I’m finding it particularly distasteful that they are having sex in the home one of the MC’s shares with his current boyfriend who could come home any moment. Not ok

56% in and think this should be renamed God of Bore. Neither MC are interesting and their interactions with previous book MC’s are off. I know there’s a big mystery etc but this is turgid. The completionist in me demands I see this through but gahhhh it’s painfully tiresome

I am having issues with this book. I hate it when couples because they have their own lives together dismiss other peoples relationships yet everything stops if it relates to their relationship. It riles me. I can’t abide hypocrisy I just can’t

This is hilarious!

I’m 66% in and feel low key claustrophobic at how needy Egon is. Prior to meeting Rake he appeared to have his life in moderate order but has completely let go since and is unravelling. This personality transplant along with the obsession with Rake doesn’t feel romantic… I shall wait and see what happens next.
