What the Hell is going on? Why does it seem like she KNOWS him? Something happened between them, but did she always know it was him she made some sort of a deal with? This doesn't make sense.

I figured he needed a witch & that he lured them there but that entire conversation between Mallory & Bastien is utterly confusing! Please tell me there's going to be an explanation!!

The maid is giving me the creeps & I'm starting to wonder if Mallory & her sister are there for a very different reason than they think. Bastien needs five wives and now he has three. It can't be a coincidence that his first wife found herself in the carriage that would bring her to her to him after being trapped in the Saphir house for so long. Did Armand lure them there for nefarious purposes or is he just a pawn?

It seems a little suspicious that a wealthy Count won't pay her half of the money up front & he doesn't have a driver for his carriage. The VERY least he could do is pay her back for the silver coins he took from her & why didn't he have any silver coins of his own? I'd demand payment upfront!

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice gesture, but I feel like Javi should be involved in the launch of HIS dream! It's supposed to be HIS food truck, so he should be the one doing the cooking & deciding what to name it & when to open it for the first time! It's his reputation & the others aren't chefs.

I was worried this was going to end on a cliffhanger for a second. Thank goodness for mischievous kittens!

Aly thinking that falling off a cliff into a rocky ravine was "having a really bad day" made me smile. I adore the humor in this book.

After that, I'm pretty sure Nico was planning on having them leave Josh at Brad's to take the fall. Listening to him threaten Nico right back was priceless!

I'm not sure if that was brilliant or stupid. Now the police have an excuse to get into Bradley's house & discover what he's done, but his parents know someone was there & might tell the cops. Plus they don't even have a getaway car!

I'm really disappointed in Allies reaction to the truth about who his dad is. It's EXACTLY the reaction he feared. The same one every other girl had & I really thought she'd be the exception. This will break his heart! 💔

If she's so worried about the kind of favors her uncle will ask of her boyfriend because he's a top notch hacker, then maybe she SHOULDN'T tell him about what he can do. Just a thought!

WHY did she have to treat the rapist?!! Just let him wait for male nurse to treat him. This is going to end badly.

I'm enjoying this so much more than I thought I would. Watching the games they're playing with each other is highly entertaining & this book is surprisingly funny. So glad I gave it a chance!
