This book is going to make me deded...

This is written in third person present tense and it's doing my head in right now.

"With a violent gasp, Folly jerks to a seat. He nearly falls falls down again in shock."

I mean why?! Why would you do that. It's painfully stilted and neither flows, or gives a vlear visual picture. Is Folly just sitting up, has he actually moved in a jerky fashion to some sort of bench?!

Shelving for the minute as I'm not feeling it.

I feel like I've been reading this forever but it's only halfway through and they're still no closer to being in a relationship. I love slow burn but this one's a tad long!

Well, there's not really much 'enemies to lovers' so much as team rivals.
The repeated references to 'New Zealand rugby' or the New Zealand team, rather than calling them the All Blacks, which is pretty much what they're know as, is throwing me off.
Let's hope things improve as technically rugby isn't even a thing. It's Rugby Union or Rugby League 😉

I was liking the start of this one but it may end up on the favourites shelf simply because one of the characters just chucked in a Queeons and Kingons reference 😁

These books are fab but the editing is awful. One of the character's mother's name's just changed completely 😂

I've read this apparently but I don't remember so I'm reading it again in anticipation of book four!

This is everything I hoped it was going to be after such a bug gap between books.
Copper and Park are just perfection in their uncertainty and need to reassure the itger and the case they're working on is suitably confusing the hell out of me!
I have about a dozen theories atm 🤣

Usually I can't put a book from these two down but this one just hasn't grabbed me yet at all.
I think I may pop on hold until after the holidays and see if I'm in a better frame of mind for their delicious dark romance.

I'm only just starting this and at the end of the first chapter I have a massive smile on my face 😁
