RandomLibrarian is starting Ultimate Level 1: New Potential (Ultimate Level 1, #6)
Generally speaking, I have enjoyed this plot. There is some depths, although it stays simplistic.. but there are a few things that are starting to drive me crazy this constant discussion on the 50th floor being some sort of a savior floor, but that they plan to reset all their stats and start over and as it relates to tower climbing additionally they are hunting him. He knows this he leaves to go to a bakery.?!?

RandomLibrarian is starting Regicide (The Richard Jackson Saga, #13)
I’m loving this, but the speed at which the China integration is happening is kind of jarring to the immersion. It feels like the plot is barely being held on by the skin of its teeth.

RandomLibrarian is starting Sobral City (A Soldier's Life #2)
The MC’d paranoia about his abilities is fully justified but makes the story boring. On the fence about not continuing.

RandomLibrarian is starting Defiance of the Fall 11 (Defiance of the Fall, #11)
Enjoyed the first 60% a lot, but there are pacing, world building and power scaling issues in the later parts of the book that are jarring to the feel of the main storyline. Could be overcome with better use of time skips and moving overall power scaling forward… but there is so much world building baggage that its honestly just more enjoyable when he leaves earth.. basically two separate storylines now.

The class choice fighter was kind of disappointing.

RandomLibrarian is starting The Final Chapter (Master Hunter K #3)
The forced stupidity to build tension is the absolute worst…. Multiple ways it could have been done differently.

RandomLibrarian is 50% done with Oh, Great! I Discovered How to Cultivate a Farmer in 52 Easy Steps (Unorthodox Farming, #2)
A lot of fun, however the novelty of the “farmer” limitations and the subsequent system interactions are kind of crippling the world building… hope to see things broaden up a bit by the end of the book.

RandomLibrarian is starting Asgard's Fall (Digital Rebirth Chronicles #1)
13 hours in to the audiobook and its still a slog, i’m hanging around for the big reveal on his main quest line …. Still absolutely no sense of agency not character building/development. Its all just linear….

Still on the fence about this one… just feels like the primary storyline gives no sense of agency to the MC and his actions aren’t entirely plausible in his circumstances. Lots of weird decisions, choices and conversation mechanics that are jarring my immersion. I’m still wondering why there is a VR game at all. The game is just weird.

RandomLibrarian is 81% done with Isekai Magus (The Fantasy World of Nordan, #1)
This book was outstanding until about 75% then some weird happened. All of a sudden some alternative moral and ethical structure was implemented. Is the MC a good, bad guy and a bad, good guy... Author needs to be consistent and I hope it doesn't flip flop anymore...

RandomLibrarian is starting Killing Them Awfully (The Good Guys, #11)
Just over 50% of the way through and while fun to read it feels like the entire first half of the book should have been summed up in a chapter. Way too much happening in too short of a time with way too much detail. This series isn’t using time as a plot device anymore and it’s starting to show. Disappointed

RandomLibrarian is starting The OP MC 4 (The OP MC, #4)
This is enjoyable but something is different about this one than the previous books. Book four and the MC is trying too hard to be clever where normally he gets a combination of clever and results equally.

RandomLibrarian is 62% done with Downfall And Rise (Challenger's Call, #1)
Portions of this first book felt simplistic and forced. Example, allowing details to skip by certain people to avoid dialogue. Ultimately it was consistent enough that it was probably done on purpose, so it didn’t bother me much after maybe 50%. The understanding of a pastor who teaches change from within being worthy and one who preaches fear was well done and thought provoking.

This book is weird. The premise isn’t bad but before chapter three even started there were segue ways that felt so weird.
