I’m almost finished this book but I really needed to pop in and say I’ve never read anything as raw, jarring, graphic, educational and heart breaking as this. Just like the author’s note said at the beginning of the book, EVERYONE, all races should be reading /listening to this book

The same thing is being repeated in different ways on like every other page 😕

I had to DNF at 43% so sorry. Tried digital version and audio book and just could not get into the story telling… tried reading for a book club but I guess I’ll just have to miss this meeting 😢

The female leads are light skinned why is the book model a brown skinned girl?

My unpopular opinion: Quameer has too much attitude towards Brandi/girls he don’t like. I know there’s no undertone of him secretly wanting her I just believe that if he really as healed as he wants the reader to believe, he wouldn’t be so quick to insult her every chance he gets

Im so tempted to DNF, its so boring

I’m struggling so much to get through this book. Why is it so boring and slow???? Holy and characters arcs seem a bit rushed at the same time

Am I the only one noticing that every character we meet has blue eyes?? lol

I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book. I knew it was fantasy but I didn’t realize how literally gothic the book was, the author writes eloquently but every page has an undertone of darkness.

It took some pushing through but now at this stage I’m screaming into a pillow because of the plot twists.

Ummm, what the heck am I reading right now!!!!!! This book is insane, but I can’t put it down haha

The audacity of these two main characters!!!!!! I literally burst out laughing or gasping a few times while reading this book. But it was a really nice short read. I think that if it was written to be a longer book, there would be great potential because admittedly there were some parts where I thought they were moving too fast, but I get it. It’s a holiday short!!!
