This book feels like ne part Palestine commentary, one part Ender's Game, one part Red Rising (or Cowboy Bebop?), and one part Seven Samurai? Entertaining enough, but too focused on battle to be my cup of tea. Still worth finishing for the triple dip.

Currently working through Lies Agreed Upon by Cavatica - on chapter 33. My download is through chapter 54, which was the most recent chapter at the time I DLed the epub from AO3.

Re-reading this for the first time in forever for one of the Goodreads Challenges. Figured since it'll be a short read, and we'll worth the re-visit. It'll be a little difficult to calculate progress since I only have the quartet, but I'll just do it as a percentage out of 23 chapters.

Learning about Uber's algorithmic wage discrimination is super fucking depressing.

It's nice to confirm thatmy problem with Bibliophobia wasn't that I lost my ability to listen to nonfiction audiobooks, but that that particular nonfiction audiobook was really hard to listen to, and I do think the narration was largely at fault. In any case, both the information and the narration of Enshittification are fully maintaining my attention.

For the first time in a long time, I'm really feeling like this particular book would have been much less tedious to get through if I were reading it with my eyes. I feel like all of its value is in the trees, whereas its forest is terribly dull, and audiobooks aren't a great format for focusing on the trees.

I hate knowing that when I finish this audiobook, I probably won't be able to rate it, much less review it, because beyond perhaps the first chapter it left almost no impression on me, and I would have DNFed it if it weren't for the challenge.

When you realize that Visser 3 is actually an hervivore. Or even if you don't count the host, that still leaves the question of the diet categorization of the Yeerk itself. Are they basically... Plants? Visser 3 is a plant controlling an herbivore?
And yeah, I'm sure I could look up a name for an animal that eats sun rays.
