Enjoying so far, despite the anxiety a story like this, involving a child, provokes. But I've run into my first practical issue. A therapist has labeled the child with selective mutism. Um, no. As someone who HAS that, no. Despite the terrible name, you don't choose when you're mute. It just comes & goes, due to anxiety/overstimulation. J's being manipulative, not mute, speaking whenever she wants to, just not to H.
