I DO NOT LIKE THIS BOOK AND I DONT EVEN WANT TO FINISH IT!!! But there's only an hour left... Do I just push through it? Uuughhhhhhhh!!!! Once it got like Saw, I just want to be done. Done done done. Maybe I'll grab it on KU to finish rather than the audio so I can skim the rest! That sounds more palatable....

Omg Tor Thom's narration is TERRIBLE! I'm interested in the story and at least Kirt Graves' part is well done. I laughed when Andy talked to Ray for the first time and said he sounded sexy... Omg Tor Thom sounds SO BAD. I really hope I can stick it out, I'm going to try... But it's awful... :(

This has started soooooooo slowly! 2+ hours and barely anything has happened. Pretty much so far just establishing the MCs anxiety. FINALLY I hope it's about to get more interesting.

Whyyyyyy didn't I think sooner to increase the speed on this??? Ugh! The narration is soooooo slow.... and then combine that with the story also being very slow.... holy crap I'm dying.

Ugh I hate dude bros and frats... and of course they're also rich and privileged douche bros. *sigh* that's way more than just the "jock" mentioned in the blurb.
I'd quit if I didn't have high hopes for this.

This is supposed to be good so I'm trying really hard not to be too annoyed by Felix but UGH... the drama with his vengeance against Declan, the catfishing... it's just too much. Especially when it likely wasn't even him! Teenagers are terrible...

A bonus over Hitman's Guide is that I'm interested in BOTH MCs, both are quite interested and I look forward to learning about their pasts!

I actually liked it more the second or third time around :) I could enjoy the little moments without constantly trying to figure out secret identities and other things!

Ugh I need to switch to something light hearted before I can sleep. This is just so sick, twisted, and creepy.
I regret reading it but I need to know how it ends.

It's quite redundant. It feels like she keeps saying the same things 5 times and barely in any different ways. Nothing has actually happened yet at 38%. It feels like she's just dragging it out for the word count.

This is dragging so slowly and boring me to death!

I read someone's review that they were disappointed with this book... ummm they're nuts because I am LOVING it!!!

Well I was going to bitch about one of the narrators pronouncing Appalachia incorrectly, but I looked it up and apparently people from there say Appa-latch-a... so I will let that one go and file it away.
However! It would have been very easy to look up Canobie Lake Park to find out how to pronounce THAT!
Also, I accidentally punched a lamp as I raised my fist into the air with triumph about the Water Country jingle.

Well, this went in all sorts of directions I didn't expect...

I find it quite difficult to accept this as a modern tale... it has the feeling of a historical but it isn't... just the way it's written as well as the life that Laurie leads... it's difficult to accept it could be at all realistic today. I don't know if the narrator really adds to that feeling or if it would be just as much if I were reading it myself.

My first listen to the last book!!!! ACK!!! And I haven't read it yet either because I wanted to experience it in the magnificence of the audio.

Well, bonus enjoyment for taking place in Western Mass (Blandford, Westfield) and totally relating to the MC Connor being the fat shy gay kid in a small town he wanted to get out of and forget about! <3

I wish the narrator had any bit of difference between Dare and Finn's voices... sometimes it's difficult to know who is speaking and you have to guess from the context but it's not always possible.
