Made it here. Skipped/skimmed the rest. I was getting fed up with the same old same old.

Went back to the reviews to see when she gives in to him and idk if I'll last that long 😔 We'll see if the next few plot points are action-filled enough to keep me going.

DNF. I can't do it anymore with any of the characters. They're poorly developed. There's no motivation behind anything they're doing, just vibes to make it to the next scene. It's hard to explain how the story is moving forward yet nothing is really happening. The magic part of this isn't intriguing enough to push me to finish. I'm annoyed and bored

I want to know what happens but the MCs are soooo frustrating. Might be too annoying 😭 but I want to knowww. Taking a break but will (probably) come back.

Mysteries stress me outtt but this is still fun. Love the teasing of magic and dark gods. The fmc is annoying me with this whole "you could have called" thing though ☠️ like girl you're 28 and he DIDN'T HAVE YOUR NUMBER. Mind you, she actually DID have his number. She didn't start stupid earlier in the book so hopefully she doesn't stay stupid. TBD

Besides the egregious use of AAVE and some other vocabulary issues, I like it so far. I like Zara and the boys and the plot is (finally) going somewhere. Still not a dark romance regardless of the "captivity" aspect
