Let me tell you how I gasped when I got approved for this ALC from NetGalley! Just finished the first chapter. I’m already thrilled to be on this journey with Ernest Cunningham, my favorite FairPlay Detective.

As a long-standing fan of meta fiction, this novel is right up my alley. I have an idea who the killer is and am posting this for personal posterity. If I am correct, then I can look back and note with satisfaction that I made a sweeping announcement confirming my suspicions to whosoever might be reading this. If I’m wrong, then I can look back and recognize the brilliance of Horowitz’s red herrings. Win-win

I am seriously loving this book so far! I haven’t looked up this many words while reading in ages (and that’s a compliment to Bradley’s vocabulary)
