This book is so weird but I think I’m into it. Onward we go…

Kate Bowler is a treasure and she is here on earth for such a time as this.

The subject matter is fascinating, however, the book itself feels a little bit like being chased by a very enthusiastic Wikipedia article that’s shouting facts at you.

Find you someone who loves you as much as Marie Benedict loves to use exposition to tell you the facts she learned while researching her historical fiction novels.

I’m intrigued.

I got behind in my daily dose of Emma M. Lion but now I’m happy to report I am caught up through March 31!

Rereading (very slowly) with my 14 year old. We’ve almost made it to the end though!

Still loving this book!

This book is sooo good so far—like made in a lab for me—but the audiobook narrator is soooo bad. (Also the cover is bad/misleading!)

So now I’m in the worst kind of reader hell—do I stop listening to the audiobook and wait for weeks to get an ebook or print copy from the library? Spend cash money to purchase it? Or just power through the audiobook and hope it doesn’t lessen my enjoyment of it? Send help.

I’m a little over halfway done with this book and everything I remember from Wuthering Heights has already happened. So I guess the second half of this book will be a complete surprise. 😆🤷‍♀️

Loving the cozy fantasy vibes, not feeling the romance they are trying to shoehorn in though. The narrator for the audiobook is not my favorite but we press on…

Oh this is making me want to reread Wuthering Heights

This feels like a book made for this exact moment in time as it is both a reimagining of Wuthering Heights and about scandal and competition in Olympic Ice Dancing.

This book is the epitome of tell, don’t show. 🤨

Word on the book review streets is this is a really good historical fiction crime novel despite its very cringy cover. So we shall see…

This book is much grosser than I expected it to be. Don’t read this while eating dinner. (I learned this the hard way. ) It’s just as funny as I hoped it would be though.
