i’m so deadass there is NO plot present in this book. like there is but not enough to warrant a book this long. the book is literally JUST this fucking guy harassing this autistic woman while everyone blames the world’s problem on this other guy who is the only likable character in the book and ISNT EVEN THE LOVE INTEREST kms

i’m genuinely convinced that this book is 600+ pages not because it needs to be or because of any significant plot or world building but because every single one of this characters sans razik is so fucking insufferable it takes them 5 pages what it should take normal characters to do in 1

i swear to god if this whole sucubi are attracted to high charisma and now carl has high charisma is just a vehicle to have half naked busty demon women throw themselves at a guy wearing underwear and no shoes i’m going to start sending hate mail

second book for the summer reading challenge! feeling #trepidation because i’m not sure this is exactly what im feeling at the moment and it’s 627 pages long………

the actual plot of this book is just skimmed over while we have every single convo between maxim and dania and every single time dania thinks out revenge in 4k HD

if mazin was in love with dania then they would she pretend to be her opposite while trying to seduce him again

did noor even have a plan for revenge like she literally only does what dania says to further dania’s revenge plot. this read like two dumb bitches telling each other exactlyyyyyyyyy

the one thing that’s been bugging me is why dania is the leader of this revenge plot. noor has been in prison for longer and lost her place in life, her family, her father, and her kingdom technically but dania’s revenge is the one we’re focusing on?

so far really compelling but the dialogue is a bit cringey

knigh’s POV is so boring it’s literally just “wahhh waaaaahhh waaaahhhh i’m so terrible i betrayed vee. i’m so stupid and awful for falling for her and then betraying her” and then everyone around him is like yeah you’re evil and terrible. again. FAIR. and it just goes on and on

lowk i have no motivation to read the second book even though i really enjoyed the first. i think because i found out just how slow this burn is going to be and idk if it’ll pay off…

over 50% into the book and these two still have zero chemistry

having the girl who can’t read look at books for their salvation is frying me so bad like why is she even doing this. it makes the plot kinda inconsistent like why is she able to figure out this thing that no one else has when she can’t even read? why is she even unable to read in the first place?

sometimes i fear that some people have never experienced the ocean before because why is she drowning and sinking so fast? what happened to her being a strong swimmer?

there’s a lot of anachronistic language in the book and it makes it read very juvenile. “my heart almost fell out of my ass” “i crashed out on the bed”
