Imcongruity!! Tell me how Lark can say 'oh, I didn't know that' when I, as a reader, have heard it at least 4 times? The most recent of which was when someone told HER that.

I'm not sure about this- there have been a couple of instances that are red flags for me.
First- she thinks about how much she needs to run after having breakfast. Don't we get enough image issues in real life? That's not a healthy relationship with food.
Second- they just went to the nesting store and she *only* got shit in ecru (basically blank) and the favorite colors of her 24 hr old pack

So far... Maury reads like she was written by a teenager. I also want to be pedantic-Lynx are *NOT* classified as 'big' cats.
I'm not going to hold my breath about this one.

DNF. It's not a bad book, but it's so... surface level? Like there's no complexity to anything. It feels like token lip service to 'I'm a person, not a possession' but no conflicting feelings, nothing.
Although it is short, that doesn't mean it can't have compelling characters with emotional depth.

I don't even know why I'm still reading this. Maybe for the sheer WTF factor? During this ridiculous escapade of a 'rescue' Ryver has had a mysteriously disappearing 'severe' wound, they raided a farmhouse with a truck out front and DIDN'T TAKE THE TRUCK (Or, apparently, any food), and now, a mysterious crying infant.
Was there no editor to reign in the very obvious plot holes? Am I the only one who pays attention?

So not a fan of plot moppets. ESPECIALLY SECRET BABY PLOT MOPPETS. And then, add in, 'who's your daddy' style anxiety, and I am OVER it. However, I am liking Cal's anxiety-as someone who also has anxiety, I feel his pain. But really, I am only reading this to complete the series and follow the wider overarching plot to get to the next instalment

I'm disappointed, to be honest. I was really hoping that she wouldn't be as Mary Sue as possible and collect the entire set, but...

The plot seems to consist solely of 'we must have sex with my mating fist to bond!' which... is boring. So far the book seems to be 90% sex. Sex that doesn't really seem to do anything except illustrate physical attraction. I doubt I'll finish this. I feel like I know (and care) more about the sister than I do Olivia.
