Skipping ahead to the end.

Wish I wasn’t out of order, but oh well, not like I can tell the library Libby system that I am more important than other listeners and should be able to get the books when I want them so I can stay in order. This one is a smidge bit boring. May skip to the next available one for my message to drown out the depressing music that is sometimes playing. Though I am sure its soothing to everyone but me😂

I think why the series is growing on me, is because I recognize some of the places and things mentioned. I have several relatives that live in the twin cities area, so I have been to some of the places while visiting them. And a few WI towns where I have relatives have also been mentioned. That doesn’t happen often with books for me, so in a way it’s fun.

Only the abridged version is available via Libby, I guess all of the times I have said a book is too long or I could have used an abridged version of a book is now catching up with me since this is the first time I remember only having the abridged versions of several books in a series as being my only option on Libby!

Listening to abridged version because the unabridged version isn’t available on Libby yet. I think, because I am curious, I am going to listen to the unabridged version when it becomes available to see how much detail is left out. This must be a cd recording because there was a few skips at one point even via Libby. 🤷‍♀️

I’d turn a Vikings game off too😂.

What a bizarre sense of humor

I am a little confused with all of these characters. The puzzle my mom found at a thrift shop for me is REALLY REALLY hard. So perhaps I was focusing on the puzzle too much and tuned the book out a little bit yesterday? But I am feeling confused this morning. Oh well.

Abridged version is the only one available in audiobook. Wonder what is all included that I will miss out on! And how they decide what is left out with an abridged version. But I kind of wanted to know how the Virgil Flowers series started, so abridged version it is.

Stopping at 56%. Subject matter is not something I care to hear any more about.

Made the mistake of eating while listening, had to pause the book so that my food didn’t go to waste. I am often surprised at what I can eat through, but a bunch of rats are not on that list. 😩

He told you he didn’t want you to leave. What did you tell him?? Nothing in return. So why so butt-hurt when he is obviously trying to protect himself from his hurt. Have an actual conversation you two dipwads🤦🏼‍♀️.

3rd or 4th relisten. Clearly I don’t know what to listen to right now and/or books I am waiting for haven’t gotten to me yet. Feeling really specific and picky right now. So I guess this James Patterson thing will continue with some WMC re-listens.

Kind of bored with this

Just kind of background noise because I don’t know what else to listen to while I wait for other books to become available. I think I might have actually dozed for a little bit in the beginning.

Maybe they had a chat with Peter Giles because he is narrating again and this time Mary Catherine has an Irish accent😂. He did the last book and she didn’t have one. And Trilling has his own narrator again. but when it’s not from his pov, Giles does his part, unlike last book. Huh.
