Just realized I don’t really know what has happened the last 30 percent🤦🏼‍♀️. Was super distracted with something else. Oh well.

I have some guesses about a few things….

So far, not really feeling this one.

What is the age difference between Roderick and Greg? I thought it was 4 or 5 years, this is making it sound like only a couple. Don’t over think this self…..🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. Just go with it. Pretend it all makes sense to you even if it doesn’t….that last part was a pep talk to myself🤪.

The wait for book 6 is too long for me to postpone this one. 8&9 have a shorter waiting time frame than book 6 as well. So as much as I don’t want to skip 6 for now, I am going to. I had been doing so well with doing series in order for a bit here! Hopefully it doesn’t throw me off too much🤞.

Have seen reviews going both ways on this one…curious what I will think of it!

Miss Marcus needs to get some better fitting clothing. This is the probably at least the 5th time this or similar wording has appeared:
‘Her bosom straining to escape her bodice,….’ We get it, her clothes are tight and revealing and one wrong movement could create a mishap.

Silly me, not paying attention to things. For so long it was a limit of 5 holds for books requested outside of my library system, I checked the status of my holds today and it says that 10 is the limit now! How marvelous is that!? And I haven’t been looking for audio versions of some of these books…now really silly me🤦🏼‍♀️. This specific book is kind of dragging still.

Well…someone died. People are still grumpy. Not sure if Derrick will make an appearance in this book. And I need that situation to be sorted out on a personal level😂.

This is a grumpy bunch of folks. And I don’t mean the comical kind of grumpy. I mean the unpleasant, could possibly affect the moods of those around you kind of grumpy. Someone better either get murdered soon or become really damn delightful or I am skipping ahead!!

Most series seem to have a book that doesn’t spark my interest as much as the others. This may be that book in this series🤷‍♀️. Or perhaps it will pick up in a bit. Switching back to the other book now.

There is typically a lot of names/characters in these books. High society and all! But this time, I am getting a bit confused with the artists (dancers, singers, musicians, writers etc) this girl (me) is not taking out a notebook to keep track, even though I have one on my nightstand. I am guessing one of them is going to be the murder victim, so one less name to remember is coming up!

I had forgotten that this book starts out rather cheesy, I guess??

Decided to start my reread of this earlier than December. It snowed/flurried where I live for the first time this season over the weekend, and with such a cute cover, why not start it!

I am just about to start chapter two, but if the rest of the book is as charming and delightful and cute and funny as chapter one….i am well on my way to a possible new addition to my favorite books shelf. I hope I didn’t jinx myself or speak too soon🤞. Regardless, I will always have chapter one, right!? 🥰

Okay, so I got over my previous issue. But now, well I went with large print because it was available at my local library. I also thought, my darn eyes, this could maybe make it a bit easier to read. My dad told me he thinks large print books are hard to read, and I have to say, I might agree with the man. It’s throwing me off a bit. Isn’t that kind of silly? But I am finding myself reading at a much slower pace

2nd paragraph in and I chuckled. Off to a good start 😊

It’s a me problem. In the large print book, the book starts on page 9. So really I am on page 2. Why does stuff like this bother me??? Ugh. I feel so inaccurate. Someone tell me to get over it and move past it and stop being so Martaish. Seriously, someone please say ‘Marta get over it’ sometimes that works, having someone else tell me.

My eyes need a break badly!! Darn!
