I just have to get this out of the way: the title “infernal” and the red headed girl, the lost memories, and the hellhound in her kitchen strongly reminds me of Shadowhunters.

queen ants giving the survivors rides? this plot feels really chaotic and juvenile. when. when will this book end?!

ugh... i foresaw this and hoped it wasn't something this blatant. i hoped Meg was the red herring, not the actual twist. i am not enjoying myself.

even though the plot is quick paced, the book feels so long, like it's dragging. Maybe because i lost interest and stopped caring long ago...

character development feels contrived, rather than natural. because of this, mc feels kinda flat.

story feels recycled.

wondering how much longer it would take me to finish this book. i am determined to finish the book.

what kind of logic is it not to cancel 3legged race especially considering the disappearances? seem like irresponsible adults. looks like author pushed this for plot convenience, but it seems forced.

plot progressing, but i'm losing interest. Apollo's narcissism is starting to get on my nerves. Meg's super powers seem too plot convenient for a demi god, if she actually is a demi god.

lol. i'm still laughing. god, this book puts me in a great mood. are the Percy Jackson series this funny?

okay first chapter. liked the heroine's internal snark and attitude. promising so far.

what kind of SF story doesn't describe the setting to me? I can't picture this world, this planet, this civilization, this people. major fail on that front. story jumped too fast into a romantic relationship.

Very bored! Maia and Jordan seem like a pointless POV to follow. I'm not interested in their relationship.
POVs are too short. Makes plot seem scattered.
Pacing is slower than a snail!

boring protagonist. irritating love triangle. does everyone know her secret? horrible world building. I have no sense of place. explain this war to me and this flimsy explanation for the breeding houses.

wow. I've never had all the furniture and decor listed so densely in a thick, long paragraph before. what is this a crime novel? are we playing spot what doesn't belong here? plot is practically non existant. boring party. out of place sex. a shopping trip? really? author needs to narrow down what her plot is and what is truly important to mention and conserve her word count to the amount needed to tell the story.
