I'm 32% through this and it's already 5 stars. I'm trying to slow down to prolong the enjoyment, but it's just so dang good!

So far, I'm enjoying this novel. I like getting more of an insight into Corriveaux and his plans.

So far, this is a far cry from the Mistborn trilogy. I LOVED Mistborn. I am struggling HARD with this novel. Way too ponderous. This is going to take major perseverance to complete. I should've read the 3-star reviews before I bought this.

So far, this novel is a pale comparison to the other four. My biggest complaint is the abysmal proofreading errors. There have been times where I've found one per page for several pages, then nothing, then 2 per page. The errors are pulling me out of the story. I have reported several of them to Amazon out of sheer frustration.

Not to mention, the characters and dialogue do not live up to the previous novels.

While I do like the story so far, I am disappointed in the proofreading errors up to this point. I sincerely hope that the author takes the time to update this book with much needed corrections. To not do so would be a massive disservice to this series and the readers.

So far, this is pretty good. I love the interactions between Jev & Zenia, Jev, Lornyash & Cutter and, Zenia and Rhi. Ms. Buroker you write banter very well.

I had to stop reading this. The dialogue isn't organic. There's way too much repetitious exposition and dialogue. I just couldn't read very far without groaning. I really wanted to like this as the premise is awesome, however, I just can't bring myself to read anymore.

While I do genuinely like the premise of this entire series, I am finding it difficult to really like the storytelling. The author uses way too many overly repetitive words and phrases. Has the author actually used a content editor or proofreader? Cutting out most of the repetition would leave room for better dialogue and more actual story.

At this point in the trilogy I'm had pressed to give more than 2.75 stars.
