3 ⭐️ - Started off strong but the second half devolves into typical MC plots. Also lots of grammar mistakes that should’ve been easily corrected

I can feel the tension that’s been building; scared for the fmc. I hope it continues to be this atmospheric

2.5⭐️ - not much happens until the end, but the mentions of all the cats are cute

I think this author is not for me

So far it’s been boring

2.5⭐️ - rounding down, there were fun moments but the romance was unnecessary

The writing was so awkward I skimmed a lot and then around 55% skipped to the last couple chapters

This would be so much better without the romance sub-plot; drops it down to 2⭐️

Protagonist was annoying at the start but the now that the story is picking up it’s better

3.5⭐️ - Always enjoy the sense of humor from this author

The writing is amateurish, very boring

DNF @ ch2 - for some reason I just don’t like books with musical associations?? Fmc is an aspiring songwriter and I already don’t don’t want to continue lol

Not feeling this right now, might pick up later

Really intense! This is more about healing from trauma than romance

2.5⭐️ - quick read, amateurish writing, the angst and yearning could be better but basic storyline has potential

DNF @ ch 4 -annoyed that thrillers always rely on infidelity 🙄 try something new

3.5⭐️ - rounding down bc I probably wont reread this. Very sweet and realistic but also too repetitive so the book is longer than it needed to be

Started off so strong but the middle section is soo repetitive. Their inner thoughts are always the same lines rewritten a million times

Omfg so convoluted with twist after twist after twist 🙄 can’t take it seriously

Omg marriage-in-crisis done right. The emotional pain, the angst, she stands up her herself - it’s all so good in the first quarter 👏🏽
