Nota fan of the writing style - overly wordy and takes so long to get to the point. Went too far with making the mmc grumpy so there’s no chemistry or charm between the MCs

3.5⭐️ - I was enjoying the beginning but the mc got annoying at times. I hate dumb characters who gaslight themselves instead of believing what’s literally happening! lol it picked up again in the last quarter

The final 10% or whatever’s left after the 3rd act breakup ruined it 🙄

3.5⭐️ - Usually avoid college romances but gave this one a shot ahead of the new tv adaptation - surprisingly enjoyed this! Has some heavy topics but the chemistry bw the two mcs is good. Some misogynistic language so I’ll round down to 3⭐️

Not much has happened up to this point but the author has done a great job at slowly building up the creepy ambience

Really struggling to continue this one. The dialogue is extremely cringy - the fmc says “stop being so extra” at the most random times that don’t even make sense in the situation?? Also mmc’s changing nicknames for the fmc aren’t even cute

Action scenes are entertaining but FMC continues to be annoying with her question-speak. The spicy scenes are really cringy especially in audio format 🤡

Yesss finally breaking my streak of bad romcoms. Loved this and the characters so much

Great tension and banter 🔥 love a fierce, independent fmc 💅🏽

The banter was good to start but of course we have to be constantly reminded the fmc is ~not like other girls~ 🙄🤮

2.5⭐️ - hard to rate bc almost everyone has their unlikable moments, and I was NOT rooting for the main couple 🤡 after the big fallout the mmc is def a big green flag and the writing itself is better than the first 80% or whatever

All these people need serious help 🫩 no one should be in a relationship lol

Very boring, simplistic writing and weird pacing (random jumps in time by weeks) and yet still very readable. The fmc’s relationship with mmc’s best friend keeps progressing tho?? So how/why are we supposed to root for the MCs to unite?

Very cute, much more enjoyable than the first book in this series

Cute cozy mystery series

Really liked the author’s first book so I was excited for this one, but it’s been a rough start - very cringy dialogue and the FMC is coming across rude and insensitive to the mmc, her supposed best friend

3⭐️ - main character is kind of annoying, she speaks in questions lol but the plot is pretty entertaining so I’ll continue with the sequel

4.5⭐️ - Jumps right in to the letters so the start was a little confusing but ultimately grabbed my attention after 35%. Really great in audio format. Hearing Sybil’s life story was very enjoyable and at times heartbreaking

Only 20 min in and this is extremely graphic which doesn’t bother me, but I don’t think I’m the right audience for the subject matter itself. Very confusing start
