So, a few weeks ago I wasn’t in the mood and thought, blegh dnf! But I picked the story up yesterday and guess what, I kinda like it now.

‘It was like he was wearing a uniform that screamed “bodyguard”, which somehow, suited him.’ GIRL, he IS a bodyguard! You actually wrote his character as a bodyguard character?! Why makes these types of obvious statements?! Why not write: the way he wore that black pants, shows and sunglasses suited his bodyguard persona. That would be more accurate.

Honey. When someone looks like he hasn’t slept a wink, they have bags under their eyes. They aren’t freshly showered and wide-eyed.

I’m already afraid for the future dnf. Why do authors spend pages repeating the same thing all while giving the FMC the character trait of being stupid and slow?

Bit disappointed to be honest. Plot is mostly focused on lack of communication and it’s become a back and forth on deciding to ‘yes, i want a mate’ or ‘no, better not’. With some ‘he’s so hot, she’s so hot and we just can’t stop touching’ in between. Not sure if it’ll keep my attention until the end.

Will this become my new favorite series I stumbled upon on accident? 😮 This is waaaaay more entertaining than I initially thought it would be!

Currently reading this one again. Started on Ashes yesterday and nothing came back to me about Church. It does now I’m reading it, so I might start skimming, but for now it’s a re-read.

I’m not sure what’s going on in this book but I have to pause my reading. Someone I can’t seem to connect to either the story and the characters as much as I could in the first two books. Xaden definitely doesn’t feel like Xaden and there are parts I’m not even sure I understand what they’re talking about. There’s also much more inner dialogue that’s unnecessary imo. I’ll wait for a few weeks.

Yes I did bawl my eyes out when he opened the bag and there were a bottle of lemon oil and a sparkly gold hair tie. Why does Leigh have the ability to make me cry over something so simple?

this book makes me feel like it should have a detailed map of the Ironside grounds, with details on buildings and stuff, multiple pictures/drawings of both clothes and shibari, vids of dance and singing. It’s like; the description in the book is a bit too much. It’s a lot of words saying a whole lotta nothing. While at other parts there’s a lot of tell instead of show.

One thing I’m not very fond of is authors describing all the clothes and hairstyles characters are wearing. Especially if it isn’t of importance for the story. It’s filler and it’s frustrating because in the next line I’ve already forgotten, especially when it’s a side character.

How does one go about farting or even masturbating if there are camera’s everywhere, even in their rooms? I’m mean, wth? o.0

Garrett Leigh books pull me in every time I need a distraction. Damnit, I love it but I need to sleep!

You know those books where you know, YOU KNOW, there’s a happy ending (I’ll kill if there’s not) but you still slowly feel your heart breaking, or someone slowly pulling your heart of your chest. Yes, it’s that kinda book.
