A few things:
1. This reminds me of Fourth Wing. I did not like Fourth Wing.
2. The plot is so mechanical. People talk like robots and there are inconsistencies (i.e., FMC claiming another character is fighting dirty but attacking a girl, but you’re supposed to be doing anything to get to the top).

I love the yearning, the FMC who says what’s on her mind, the black cat, everything!

This has potential to be my first 5 star read of the year.

Super loving this so far. Very reminiscent of the fantasy books I would read back in high school (2013-2017) before Booktok haha

Okay, this book is very sweet. It definitely could’ve gone through another round of editing though for grammatical and formatting things.

This book is really bad. The FMC is a pick-me, woe-is-me, whiny toddler. The entire plot is a if a 12 year old watched Twilight for the first time and started to write her own fanfiction about being fought after by two werewolves.

Aye aye aye, this book kinda sucks, aye aye aye. Scottish werewolves aren't doing it for me

Why does this girl go from fighting the kidnapping, to helping the kidnapper and going with them willingly, and then screaming, "let me go" to the kidnapper??

This book is going to be a BIG commitment. I’ve wanted to read it for so long but was deterred by length of it lol. Then, I read Alchemised last year and realized that I can totally read this book.

I am enjoying this so far, but can’t buy into the fact that an ESSAY got her into this prestigious school, and that she’s supposed to be so intelligent and a sophomore when at the start, she told us she was only taking a few classes at a time.
