Ok the month break was needed to get the irritation with book 3 out of my system! Back to the grind

Forgot to mention I finished this yesterday, LMAO. This was fantastic though.

I was wondering how they managed to get away with all this. Spoke too soon

Ok.... it'll probably take me a few days to figure out what exactly I thought of all this lmao

Shadrack's POV was so beautiful

Ok, I think I figured it out

Natalie's backstory feels like watching someone slowly descend into religious psychosis.

You can really feel the difference in character voice in the chapter. Julian and Katherine don't feel even remotely the same (as they shouldn't). I do wonder what the connecting line is though (or if there even is one)

Honestly Caleb is kind of embarrassing 😭. She really married a man child

I'm not trying to be a hater or anything, but Natalie feels more like a caricature rather than an actual person. I don't even find her unlikable, because she doesn't feel real

Natalie's descriptions of her roommate and roommate's friends conversations feels reading 2016 Tumblr sjw post. These people don't feel real, and there's no nuance in their talking points (though unnuanced people obviously exist)

The first part was so interesting. Somehow lucid and disorienting at the same time because I couldn't quite figure out the point

Most of these stories feel more magical realism or folky than horror tbh

So many thoughts

Kill him!!!

"That would never happen, Gabby is a good girl"

I changed my mind; shoot all the men in this story.

Oh, I want Jetta DEAD.

I really don't understand why Schar doesn't just tell him the truth??

Well, that's a hot mess

The first 12 chapters were just a lot
