It’s rare to finish a book with a satisfied sigh. Min Jin Lee created a cast of characters who were complex and interesting. They seemed fully human to me. I really enjoyed this story.

Terry is on page 120 of 325 of Daniel Applegate: A Novel of the American Revolution, Based on a true story

This was written by a cousin who I met for the first time
last summer. We met a a family reunion of descendants of Daniel’s youngest child, Jesse Applegate.

I found this to be a pleasant read, engagingly written with characters that were mostly very likeable.

Kudos to Terry Applegate for undertaking this story of our fourth great grandfather. I recommend this to anyone interested in this time period.
