Another terrific tale!

Oh my. It has been years since I read a book that moved me in this way. I have read other books by Kristin Hannah and enjoyed them. But this is a whole different experience. This is an important story that needed to be told. Thank you KH.

This was written by a cousin who I met for the first time
last summer. We met a a family reunion of descendants of Daniel’s youngest child, Jesse Applegate.

I found this to be a pleasant read, engagingly written with characters that were mostly very likeable.

Kudos to Terry Applegate for undertaking this story of our fourth great grandfather. I recommend this to anyone interested in this time period.
