Simple prose, but a great auto biography of events in the climbing world 70's-90's

Tons of names I've heard off hand throughout the year s Its fun to understand how they lived and knew each other.

Reading to finish.. .forgot what's going on, not very interesting.

So Moraine is pretty much as I remember. She seems to let the 4 talk more than they should, but I suppose they speak to move the narative forward. I want Lan to be a bit more stoic. He seems a bit too cranky, and not as understanding as Id like.

Chapter 5, and the trollocs attack. I didn't thInk it was this early. Thought there would be more setup.

I can see where someone might not like the tone at this point. It's all from Egwene's perspective as a 9yo. Specifically the roles of men and women. Her commentary on marriage seems strange. She's 9 if he just put her age at 12/13, it wouldn't have felt so out of place. At the same time, it says girls at 18 and wait a few years to get married, so 21, 22? That actually sounds late for this small rural town vibe.

A strange novel about race and elevator inspectors is potentially intetesting, but I'm just not feeling it.

Just saw someone reading the japanese version of thinking fast and slow. Another reminder...but I think Ill need something a little lighter after this.

Seems like mostly a chase book as the main character tries to prevent her remote output from being annexed by the empire in the midst of civil strife.

Slowly moving a long, and nothing strongly compelling me to read, but I'm getting through it.

So much better than the last book I read.

So far a scifi murder mystery with great flavors of multi cultural civilizations.

Finally got interesting at around the 40% mark. The taken seem somewhat like demigods and still not sure why they are fighting the rebels....

Kinda slow.

Fun history of the growth of pixar, and it's search for a process to maintain excellence.
