So Moraine is pretty much as I remember. She seems to let the 4 talk more than they should, but I suppose they speak to move the narative forward. I want Lan to be a bit more stoic. He seems a bit too cranky, and not as understanding as Id like.

I can see where someone might not like the tone at this point. It's all from Egwene's perspective as a 9yo. Specifically the roles of men and women. Her commentary on marriage seems strange. She's 9 if he just put her age at 12/13, it wouldn't have felt so out of place. At the same time, it says girls at 18 and wait a few years to get married, so 21, 22? That actually sounds late for this small rural town vibe.

I've watched the first 2 seasons. And yeah, there is a lot lacking. I re-watched the first episode after finishing the first 5 chapters, and they intro Egwene and Nynaeve, understandably since they want to introduce the main characters and get out of the village asap. But it feels forced.. And really they could have saved cost if they just followed the book, where the battle occurs mainly at Rand's house. But I guess they wanted to move the focus from Rand... oh well.
