This was a delightful read, and I hope to get my hands on the sequel soon. It will especially appeal to other long-time comics readers. This comics nerd was well entertained.

Immediately upon finishing this book I ordered another in the trilogy. Gladstone's style is delightful, and the book is both funny and insightful. Social critique at its finest.

I found this book a slog, is part because every character seems despicable in some way, and the narrator herself seems to go out of her way to be unpleasant. Her discursive storytelling also makes the experience seem interminable, an the book easily could have been shortened by 1/3. I've liked other books by Kirino, but this one left me irked.
