I think how protective Cash is over Daisy is the trait that stands out the most to me. She was in an extremely dangerous situation and the first person that came to mind for her to run to was him. Even after all of that time a part, she knew he would help regardless of what his current situation was and that level of trust and love is something we rarely get to experience in life.

I love that this their relationship is built purely on trust. The timing was never right for them to get together when they were teenagers, but as soon as Daisy needs help later in life, she knows exactly who to go look for. Cash might be a giant, grumpy recluse but she sees him for who he always has been and throughout the story you really get to see that shine through.

Why I love stories that span multiple books:
I love that I can dig in further to the world building and the stakes surrounding them. There is so much happening in a romantic suspense and when you add in a fantasy element, there is even more that needs to be shared, so it gives me the opportunity to really dive into each aspect of the story and show more character development as well!

Favorite things about these characters:
For Kane, I love his flirtiness and protectiveness. He has been through so much, but still finds a way to have fun in the middle of it. And the way he loves? Protects? It makes me absolutely swoon.
For Emery, it is her fierceness. She will do anything to ensure her niece is safe, but her facing the demons of her past and THRIVING because of it is so inspiring.

My favorite thing about writing romantic suspense is the added stakes that it brings to a story. Watching two people fall in love, but also grow in their strength together to fight for each other, feels so powerful. And, of course, I cannot resist a man who will do literally ANYTHING to ensure the ones he loves are safe.
