Grace just spotted Rocky's ship for the first time! I can't wait to meet book Rocky 🫶

Started this in 2025, paused at 40% and then never got back to it. Might reread and finish it one day.

When does the romance part start in this story?? I'm 5 hours into a 16+ hour audiobook and I'm struggling!

Sometimes the accent sounds Russian but other times I'm having flashbacks to the chef in the animated The Little Mermaid 😂

This guy is so in his head. There are pages of waffley thinking between every sparce bit of dialogue. So much flowery description of everything. I've been reading all day and I'm not even halfway. I swear this book could be a quarter of the length of he just cut out all the blah blah blah overthinking!

Help, this is already super intense. I didn't realise what the trigger warning for "survivorship" meant. I need to google!!

There are so many townsfolk in this book, I can't keep track of them all. At 38% they're still being introduced. Can we just focus on the main couple? So far I barely know them.

Thank goodness the author mentioned Devon is a math genius again. I might have forgotten as it's only been mentioned 1,000 times.

This must be about the 20th time the author has mentioned that these men like math and that they're smart. I get it.

Longest book ever.. and omg, can these two decide who they are? They have split personalities. They both want to be dom & sub, in control & controlled, free and tied... pick a side! Make decisions. Both of you! I'm 80% in and I still don't know who you are.

I feel deeply uncomfortable, I do not share these characters' kinks. I might not make it to Hattie's book after all.

The use of the word 'smirk' in terms of the hero is so off-putting that I ran a word count for it - 46 times. 46.

Romival seems to be constantly 'smirking' or 'smug'. It's not sexy.

That was glorious! Hattie and Holly overhearing Tuvo commenting on Hattie's size and then Holly's reaction and defense of her friend was epic! LOVED it. Tuvo mate, I hope your book comes soon and you have to do some serious groveling!! Better yet, I hope Hattie has a different hero and you can mope on the sidelines.

There's so much description of the maple business that it feels like absolutely nothing is happening in this story... can we get to the romance already?
