I'm giving up the Reading Challenges. It encourages binge culture. I want to enjoy and savor my reads more and use this site to search for books and rant in reviews.

I'm struggling to finish. I abandoned a few months ago. I feel like this book has such a great premise and there is so much to develop plot and character-wise but a lot of pages could be saved. A lot is being wasted on smut and repetition. Anybody start or finish this book? What are some insights and pointers on the best way to read this? Uhhh....???

The series sort of peters downhill at number six when Anne leaves the scene and it becomes more about her kids. I like the kids and think they're funny but the message here appears to be give up on your dreams and think about nothing but housewifery. I'm missing Anne's personality and main role. I will see if the series gets better since I bought all the books, but I only recommend books 1-5 which made me cry.
