I know I’m a weirdo but all this talk of gloves just makes me want to read the Ancillary trilogy again

goodness knows I love wacky high fantasy names as much as the next nerd, but b.sands is really overboard in his first outing. it gets in the way of the story

this is just a guy watching people do stuff and the stuff isn’t that interesting and the guy keeps stopping to give me “fun facts!” about the 16th century

sometimes a family is a chaos goblin, her polite scholar girlfriend, an undead Good Guy, and idk an old grump programmer

so this is kind of didactic and boring, but also I’m listening to it at work so maybe it doesn’t matter?

This is much more casual history lesson than plot so far

stirring takedown of modern gop politics in chapter 27

p sure mark got himself stabbed on purpose

Ser Konrad’s plan now is just the plot of National Treasure

lmao Ser Konrad “everyone says I’m a brilliant swordsman and a hero but no one talks about how smart I am 😖😩😖”

“Run from the table set before you. We are the feast.”

“I like to believe I have never capered.”

“But you would, if called upon to do so.”

“How do you fit so much agony into one tiny girl?”

Very funny to me that Leigh Bardugo put a vampire golden retriever in this series

oh my god is this guy just a bog standard wife murderer lol

carpooling to damnation

I love you, Halla

Kingfisher, you beautiful weirdo, with your Crawlie.

“If love doesn’t allow change then what the fuck is that love worth?”

This book needs an editor so very much.

at this point, if you’re not a LITTLE fond of the AI, ya broken

btw forever cackling over the Erins both having their full last names

tag yrself im “Jamal’s existential crisis”

Jeff Hays falls victim to the actor’s classic pitfall; the Boston accent

The local supporting casts in this series are always SO good

POACHED! EGG!

Lady Catherine de Bourgh, but make it Khanum

Murder most foul? No. “A butchering most curated.”

Ana Dolabra, I love you

If this wasn’t so short, I would toss it in the DNF vortex. It is so dumb. Every character is so dumb.
